What is a CS2 team lineup?
A team’s five starting players. This page lists the starting five for every top team, each tagged by role: in-game leader, AWPer or rifler.
What does an in-game leader (IGL) do in CS2?
Calls the team’s strategy and directs teammates round to round. Every team has one.
What does the AWPer do in CS2?
The team’s main sniper. They hold long angles and take opening duels with the AWP. Most teams build around one.
What are riflers in CS2?
Everyone who isn’t the AWPer. Common rifle roles: entry fragger (first into a site), lurker (plays away from the group) and support (trades and sets up teammates).
What is a stand-in in CS2?
A temporary player who fills in while a starter is out with illness, visa problems or a contract gap. Stand-ins are marked SUB and drop off when the starter returns.
How often do CS2 lineups change?
Often: transfers, benchings and stand-ins, and roles can shift when the lineup around a player changes. We pull these from our active player pool and check roles by hand.
