What is a CS2 team lineup?
A CS2 lineup is a team's five starting players. This page lists the starting five for every top team and tags each player by role: in-game leader, AWPer, or rifler.
What does an in-game leader (IGL) do in CS2?
The IGL calls the team's strategy, sets the game plan round to round, and directs teammates in real time. Every team has one.
What does the AWPer do in CS2?
The AWPer is the team's primary AWP user. They hold long angles and take opening duels with the sniper rifle. Most teams build around one main AWPer.
What are riflers in CS2?
Riflers are the players who use rifles rather than the AWP. The common rifle roles are entry fragger, who takes first contact into a site, lurker, who plays apart from the group, and support, who trades and sets up teammates.
How often do CS2 lineups change?
Regularly. Rosters move through transfers, benchings, and stand-ins, and a player's role can shift when the lineup around them changes. We pull these fives from our active player pool and check the roles by hand.
Where can I see CS2 player ratings?
This page covers roles, not form. For current player ratings see the CARNAGE page, and for prediction market prices and edges see MARKET.
Game of Skill maps every top CS2 team's starting five by role: in-game leader, AWPer, and rifler, including the entry, lurk, and support roles that riflers fill.
