Stay in control
- Set a budget before you start, and only use money you can afford to lose.
- Decide how much time you will spend, and take breaks.
- Do not chase losses by making bigger entries to win it back.
- Never borrow money to trade or play.
- Step away if you are upset, tired or have been drinking.
Our numbers are estimates and are often wrong. No tool or pick removes the risk of losing.
Warning signs
It may be time to stop or get help if you:
- spend more money or time than you planned
- chase losses or feel you need to win it back
- hide how much you spend from people close to you
- borrow money or miss bills because of it
- feel anxious, irritable or low when you are not playing
Tools the apps give you
Most regulated prediction markets and pick’em apps offer controls in your account settings, such as deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion. Look for them under responsible gaming or account limits, and set them before you need them.
