What is CARNAGE?

Our CS2 player rating, out of 100. Each rating is calibrated by hand from watching the games, then adjusted for the matchup and his team’s chance of winning. A star on a coin flip can rate above a role player on a big favorite.

How do I read this page?

• Ratings account for the matchup. The same player scores differently depending on who they face and how likely their team is to win the series.
• Top Frag adds to 100% within a game. It is the chance of leading that game in kills, split across the ten players in it.
• A stand-in moves the whole team. A roster change shifts every teammate’s number with it.
• Sort by whichever question you have. CARNAGE for who is better. Top Frag for who is most likely to lead their game in kills.

What is WIRE?

WIRE is our live CS2 feed. It tracks prediction market prices through the day and posts every move, result and roster change as it happens, along with where our number and the price disagree.

What is WIRE PRO?

What is free on CARNAGE and what is in WIRE PRO?

The two top-rated players on every team, and each game’s top-frag favorite, are free here. Every other player’s rating and top-frag chance is in WIRE PRO.

Are these numbers final?

No. They move until a game starts, as lineups confirm and news breaks. A person reviews every slate before it posts.

Why isn’t every CS2 game here?

We pick the games we cover, and only post numbers on teams we know well. Games we don’t rate still show live prices, without our number, under More CS2 games lower on this page and on WIRE.

What does Market WP mean on each game card?

The market’s price for the favorite at publish, read as a percentage: 65% means the market gives that team a 65% chance. That is the market’s view, not ours. For our number next to it, see MARKET.

What is Top Frag %?

The chance a player leads his own game in kills, from his projected kills and the game’s win probability. The ten players in a game add up to 100%. Mint is the top of the slate, red the bottom.

Why does a lower CARNAGE player sometimes have a higher Top Frag %?

CARNAGE rates the player. Top Frag is about one game’s ten players. A lower-rated player leads more often when the matchup lifts his projected kills, and a higher-rated one leads less when it cuts them.

What do the IGL, AWP, and Rifle tags mean?

IGL calls the team’s strategy, AWP is the main sniper, and Rifle covers the rifle roles. Use the role filter above the table, or LINEUPS for every team’s five.

How do I use these scores?

Sort by either column, tap a game card to filter to one matchup, or filter by role. Every player’s rating and top-frag chance, plus our fair value against the live price, are in WIRE PRO.

How often does CARNAGE update?

Once the slate is set, then again on news like a roster swap or a stand-in. Every slate is reviewed by hand before it posts.
