People are trading on sports outcomes every day of the year. Kalshi, Polymarket, Underdog and a number of other operators cover the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, college football and basketball, soccer, golf, tennis, CS2 and a lot more in the US. The volume is serious and growing.

Game of Skill started with CS2, a game I’ve followed for over 20 years and played competitively.

Before this, I was the long-serving Director of Content at RotoGrinders. As one of the first full-time employees, I helped build DFS and sports betting coverage across the NFL, NBA, MLB, PGA and more. Along the way, RotoGrinders won multiple FSGA awards for best product and best content, and it was later acquired.

In 2006, Congress carved fantasy sports out of federal online gambling law on the basis that they are a game of skill, not chance. The name is a nod to that ruling. Daily fantasy sports grew out of that carve-out, legal sports betting followed in 2018, and prediction markets came next. For Counter-Strike in the US, the markets that matter are pick'em apps and prediction market exchanges, and this site covers the game across both.
