Stake Ranked CS2 Player & Team Picks Live Blog: Friday
The stakes are extremely high as teams fight it out for the final Major spots. Every game is crucial for many of these teams who are desperately trying to gain VRS points in order to make the cutoff.
Two games stand out in particular on Friday, April 3rd.
HEROIC vs. NIP
This should be a fun one and there is a lot on the line. HEROIC is slightly favored when we look at prediction markets like Kalshi.
HEROIC is a tough team to predict and has shown a lot of inconsistency. There is a lot of individual skill across the whole starting five, however.
As for NIP, Snappi is one of the worst individual players in CS2 but one of the strongest in-game leaders. I actually think his experience will be important in this crucial game for NIP.
The team recently added cairne as the new fifth, and he has shown quite a bit of promise so far. xKacpersky is a talented young rifler, while sjuush is a veteran support player who adds a lot of stability. r1nkle is a high-upside AWPer.
Prediction: NIP > HEROIC 2-1
Top Projections: xKacpersky (NIP), xfl0ud (HEROIC)
Top Leverage: r1nkle (NIP), nilo (HEROIC)
G2 vs. GamerLegion
Another great matchup here. G2 recently added NertZ in place of malbs and is trying to build up some more chemistry as we get closer to the major. Early results have been promising.
GamerLegion is a very strong team as well. Snax is one of the OG in-game leaders in CS and has a nice supporting cast that includes REZ and PR as the main riflers and hypex as the AWPer.
Tauson is one of the more underrated players in Counter-Strike, so all in all, the pieces are there. I just think G2 has a bit more oomph overall and will be able to get the job done.
Prediction: G2 > GamerLegion 2-1
Top Projections: MATYS (G2), REZ (GamerLegion)
Top Leverage: NertZ (G2), PR (GamerLegion)
Good luck!
