IEM Atlanta: Monday, May 11th CS2 Player/Team Picks

Monday, May 11 marks the opening day of IEM Atlanta 2026 with eight BO3 games across four time slots starting at 11:30 AM ET. Sixteen of the best teams in the world descend on Atlanta with the Cologne Major now just weeks away. Vitality, Natus Vincere, Astralis and FaZe headline a stacked field.

PGL Astana 2026 is still rolling, but IEM jumps in to share the spotlight. Busy time in CS2.

THE GAMES

Let's dive right in. Percentages are approximate win probabilities based on available odds.

B8 vs BetBoom, 11:30 AM ET

This is an interesting matchup and one that could go either way. Both teams have firepower and are capable of doing damage at the highest level when on their game. I’ll side with BetBoom, who has a bit more upside and the best player in the server in Magnojez.

paiN vs FaZe, 11:30 AM ET

FaZe at 66%, paiN at 34%. FaZe will continue with Neityu as the starting fifth, replacing karrigan who joined up with Falcons. This is one of the more volatile games on the slate, and I think there’s a decent chance of a paiN upset.

Pick: FaZe > paiN 2-1

NRG vs FUT Esports, 2:00 PM ET

FUT at 82%, NRG at 18%. FUT come in as one of the tournament favorites, with lauNX leading the way and a deep supporting cast. NRG are still finding their way with Grim and are unlikely to find an upset path here.

Vitality vs BG Game 2:00 PM ET

The dominant Vitality are the favorites of the slate at 91%. This will be the debut of Senzu with BC Game, who also have s1mple and electronic. This is a brutal matchup to open the event, though. ZywOo will get his and Vitality should close this out in two maps.

Natus Vincere vs Passion UA, 4:30 PM ET

Na’Vi at 87%, Passion UA at 13%. Passion UA are a weaker lineup with no realistic upset path against the current iteration of Na’Vi. Should be a clean 2-0 with makazze, w0nderful and b1t leading the kill column.

SINNERS vs GamerLegion, 4:30 PM ET

GamerLegion at 57%, SINNERS at 43%. GL have the more talented individual roster with REZ and PR standing out most, but SINNERS have been surging in recent months. Don’t be surprised if they make life difficult or even get the W.

Pick: GamerLegion > SINNERS 2-1

Legacy vs M80, 7:00 PM ET

Legacy at 63%, M80 at 37%. Legacy are the better team but M80 does have upside when they play their best CS. Ultimately I think Legacy will win a close 2-0 or 2-1 series in this spot.

Liquid vs Astralis, 7:00 PM ET

Astralis at 67%, Liquid at 33%. Tough to trust Liquid right now despite a strong starting five. The results just haven’t been there. Meanwhile, Astralis have been steady under HooXi’s leadership.

Pick: Astralis > Liquid 2-0
