common questions
Where do the fantasy points come from?
NFL: Kalshi lists one fantasy-points number per player with a price on the over; Fantasy pts here is that number moved by its price. NBA: Kalshi lists ladders (like 20+, 25+, 30+ points), and adding up the chance of each step gives the number the market expects; NBA adds up his points, rebounds, assists, threes, steals and blocks markets.
Which scoring is it?
NFL: Kalshi’s scoring for its fantasy markets (shown under the table). NBA: standard daily-fantasy weights for what Kalshi prices: 1 per point, 1.25 per rebound, 1.5 per assist, +0.5 per three, 2 per steal and 2 per block. Turnovers and double-double bonuses aren’t priced on Kalshi, so NBA totals can differ from a full fantasy score by a point or two.
What are Kalshi number and Over?
NFL only: Kalshi lists one fantasy-points number per player (like 19.5) and prices the over. A 39¢ over means the market expects him a little under that number.
What is team implied?
The points Kalshi’s team total markets expect his team to score. High-scoring teams give more chances at touchdowns.
What does Move show?
How far his fantasy points have moved since Kalshi opened his markets. A rise usually follows news (a teammate out, a bigger role) or money on him.
How are NFL positions set?
From his other Kalshi markets: passing yards means QB; more rushing than receiving means RB; otherwise WR/TE. Defenses are D/ST.
Is this advice?
No. It shows what the market prices. Market numbers are not guarantees, and nothing here is a recommendation.
