QUICK HIT

3DMAX come in off the Logitech G Play Connect title on Wednesday, a five-map final against Luminosity that went to overtime on the last map. Kursy leads them at 87 on CARNAGE for this slate. Maka is calling and holding the AWP at the same time, which few players can do well. He’s one of the better at it, though.

NIP have the highest-upside player in the series. xKacpersky has been in a rut but is still the likeliest top fragger here.

The team around him is new: Krimbo joined as IGL at the start of the month, and adamb came in for n0te on September 15. Two changes in three weeks is a lot to settle before a LAN.

What to watch

Fatigue, maybe? 3DMAX played a best of five on Wednesday and now have an 8 AM start in Belgrade. Despite their new look, NIP does have a solid lineup of players with a lot of experience.

Looks like a stayaway. There are a bit too many questions marks on both sides for me, despite 3DMAX’s nice tournament run.

Maybe hopping in live is the play on this one, so will be tracking it carefully.
