My 5 Favorite AWPers in CS2 Right Now

AWPing is a hugely critical task within any given Counter-Strike game. The best of the best often decide outcomes on their own. Here are my five favorite snipers to watch as of now:

1. ZywOo (Vitality)

The gap between ZywOo and every other AWPer in the world right now is real, and it shows up in ways that go beyond the numbers. He does not go cold.

Most elite players have stretches where the mechanics are there but the reads are off, or the timing drifts. ZywOo seemingly always brings his A game. He is the best, most complete player in the world, and Vitality is built around that fact.

2. m0NESY (Falcons)

m0NESY is so damn fun to watch. He has incredibly high skill and game sense, on top of being calm under pressure and excellent in the clutch.

The AWPer’s transition to Falcons has been pretty seamless and he is capable of taking over games against even the best of opposition. m0NESY is still extremely young, so the ceiling is a little scary here.

3. molodoy (FURIA)

This guy pretty much came out of nowhere but has quickly established himself as an elite AWPer. He’s been the main reason FURIA has elevated their game into the top-tier of CS again.

The all-around talent is there, and molodoy has a lot of confidence already for such a young player.

4. 910 (The MongolZ)

The MongolZ do not get enough credit in tier-1 conversations, and 910 is a core reason they compete with the top.

The decision-making and aim are precise, and he pulls off some insane rounds often. 910 also hasn’t been playing competitive Counter-Strike all that long, so we could see him elevate even further.

5. sh1ro (Spirit)

sh1ro is one of the most consistent AWPers in the scene. He’s more of a defensive AWPer who wins rounds through patience and strong positioning.

All in all, sh1ro’s an excellent Counter-Strike player, but he does not have the ceiling of ZywOo or m0NESY due to the presence of donk.

Honorable mention: s1mple. BC.Game is a strange landing spot and the question of whether the motivation matches the ability is legitimate. He is still one of the most legendary players in CS history and has a lot of skill.
