Who the
CS2 Teams Are
The teams you will see on pick'em slates and prediction market events in 2026. Who the genuine contenders are, who is in transition, and what to know about each one before looking at individual player lines.
This is not a comprehensive list of every organization in the CS2 scene. It covers the teams that appear regularly on Underdog, Sleeper, and DraftKings Pick6 slates and in Kalshi and Polymarket prediction market events. The focus is on what matters for pick'em and prediction markets: where teams sit in the competitive hierarchy, which rosters are deep versus lone-star dependent, and which teams are in transition.
Team context changes how to read a player projection. A player on a 70% favorite against a weak opponent is in a fundamentally different situation from the same player in a dead-even series. Knowing the teams is the layer underneath the numbers.
These teams compete at every S-tier event. Most prediction market contracts and DFS slates are built around them. When any of these teams are on the slate, they anchor the chalk projection on every platform.
The best team in the world right now by most measures. ZywOo has been the top-ranked player in the scene for multiple years. ropz and flameZ are both legitimate carry options on any given map. Vitality are the heavy favorite at most events they enter and are in the middle of a Grand Slam run through 2026.
The closest challenger to Vitality. donk is an exceptional individual talent with arguably the highest ceiling in the world on his best days. sh1ro holds the AWP. The difference between Spirit and Vitality right now is consistency over a full tournament run rather than peak firepower.
Built around m0NESY at AWP alongside NiKo and kyousuke. Individual talent is top tier but the team is still working through IGL uncertainty heading into the Cologne Major. Capable of beating anyone on a given day when the roster clicks.
Rebuilt around makazze and b1t after the s1mple era. w0nderful has been one of the more consistent performers in Europe. A genuine top-four team that regularly goes deep at majors. Their style tends to produce competitive series rather than stomps, which makes them interesting for kill volume picks.
Solid top-eight to top-twelve teams globally. Capable of deep tournament runs but less consistent event to event. These are the teams where individual player matchup context matters most for pick'em.
Young roster built around Spinx and torzsi. High ceiling, inconsistent floor. MOUZ can beat top-four teams on a given day and can look disorganized on their worst maps. A volatile pick'em option with genuine upside.
The most followed team in Brazil and a top-ten team globally. KSCERATO is their most reliable performer. molodoy has emerged as a secondary carry. At home events like IEM Rio they carry crowd energy that adds real pressure to opponents. Roster questions have surfaced in 2026.
Rebuilding after years of turnover from their dynasty era. Staehr and jabbi are legitimate individual talents. Competitive at most events but not currently a title threat. They appear regularly on pick'em slates and their players produce in competitive series.
The dominant team in APAC and capable of competing with top European sides at international events. 910 and cobrazera are their primary scorers. Most relevant for prediction markets around Major qualification and tournament winner odds.
Historically significant organization currently in transition. NertZ joined recently alongside MATYS. Results in 2026 have been mixed. Capable of individual map wins against anyone but have not been consistently top-four. Playing without their IGL at IEM Rio.
Best known internationally for XANTARES, one of the most impactful individual players when in form. Wicadia is a strong supporting fragger. Competitive at S-tier events but has not broken through to the top four consistently.
These teams appear regularly on DFS slates, often as opponents to top-tier sides, and produce players worth targeting for kill projections depending on the matchup.
The most prominent North American team on the international circuit. EliGE is their most experienced player. Competitive in regional play but historically struggle against elite European sides at neutral events. Appear frequently on US DFS platforms.
Emerged as a genuine threat in 2026, reaching the semifinals at PGL Bucharest. npl is their IGL and top-rated player by the GOS model, which is unusual. kensizor and esenthial are the primary fraggers. A better team than their current ranking suggests.
Show up regularly as significant underdogs at international events but can steal maps from top opponents. misutaaa has the best individual kill rate on the team and is the primary target if you are building a contrarian stack against them.
A historically dominant organization currently in a difficult period. Roster questions persist through 2026. Individual talent remains present but results have not reflected it. Worth monitoring for when they stabilize rather than targeting in current form.
Roster changes matter. CS2 rosters move frequently, especially around major events. A team listed here with one roster may be playing with a stand-in by the time you are reading it. Check current lineups before building any pick'em entry or placing a prediction market position.
The most useful thing to take from this page is the difference between a lone-star team and a deep team. A lone-star team like Spirit runs most of its kill volume through donk. When donk is having a good game, he is the best pick on the slate. When he is not, the rest of the roster does not compensate.
A deep team like Vitality or NaVi distributes kill volume across three or four legitimate fraggers. In a close competitive series, those teams produce reliable total output even if no single player dominates. That structure affects how you build stacks, how you read a player's line relative to their teammates, and where you look for value in a given matchup.
The CS2 power rankings on this site track current form and kill rate trends for every active player. Use that alongside team context before committing to any pick'em entry.
